688 Fine Wine & Spirits and its owners Tony and Vicki Niewiarowski have been serving the Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Largo and Indian Rocks Beach since 1979. We feel that our success is based on customer care and service.
Tony and Vicki immigrated from Poland to Chicago in 1964 and in March of 1979 they vacationed to the Gulf Beaches and immediately fell in love with the area and were simultaneously tired of shoveling snow. While on vacation, they purchased
688 Discount Liquors and a home in Belleair Beach. Just three months later, in June 1979,Tony & Vicki and their then 10yr. old daughter, Dorothy, relocated permanently to Belleair Beach. They took over 688 Liquors on June 19th, 1979.
Dorothy grew up in the store as have her three children, Sevy, Lola and Tessa. Dorothy continues to be involved with business operations. Tony and Vicki just celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary last January. The family still resides in Belleair.
688 Fine Wine & Spirits establishment, formerly an A&W Rootbeer, was renovated in 1999. The store features a 30,000 bottle wine room, walk-in cigar humidor, single malt scotches, single barrel bourbons, hard-to-find liqueurs, flavored vodkas, rums and tequilas, import and craft beer as well as glassware and bar accessories.
